Data quality, data quality, data quality – please get the message

Dealing with a large data incident – one of the things that is complicating it is the inconsistent data quality linked to staff names – literally lack of attention to how they are spelt.

Key message in the NHS is that we have to care about the quality of the data to everyone who uses the services and those who work within the NHS itself.

If we do not do that then there will always be problems that could cost patients their lives and staff their livelihood.

I am not being over dramatic – just realistic.
