We know a lot about what happens to information about the living but what happens to information about the deceased is still very vague, especially where people need to access it for very legitimate reasons.
Staff do not have the skills or knowledge to understand what applies and the terminology that has to be used can be very harsh.
The legislation that has to be used is outdated and reflects a different time and place and was outdated at that point.
You have to get your hear around the wording and what it means in practice – it is what it says, not what you want it to say.
