June is alway the worst time if you do Information Governance (IG) in the NHS because you have to get your DSPT submission in by the end of the month.
It never seems to get easier because the basic work never really gets planned into the working year.
There is always something else that takes priority in-between reporting dates plus the NHS still has not got used to the reporting year being July to June – over 2 financial years.
I think that is going to get worse with the new Cyber Assurance Framework requirements from September 2024.
Cyber is evolving faster that IG or data protection and the cracks will start showing.
