With the election coming it looks like changes to data protection legislation are not going to happen (for now).
Saw the perfect description of what was proposed today – a “curates egg” – something that was so bad that you had to say something good about it.
That also means that a lot of the ugly changes that were proposed linked to extending the powers of the DWP are not going to happen.
I think that the government has run out of steam and increasingly has been seen to be out of touch.
What we do has to be seen as being relevant – sometimes unpopular but you have to have a sense of what is proportionate.
